This past week gave us the debut of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler as judges on American Idol, Britney Spears’ fourth #1 single, a bold look from Adam Lambert and fashionable new music from Lady Gaga (albeit in remixed form). And what exactly did our readers think about all this pop frenzy? Read on!

:: Cindy took a liking to American Idol: New Jersey, New Judges: “my husband and i watched both nights and really enjoyed the shows. Love Steven Tyler and J-Lo and are happy that none of the judges are being ugly to the contestants. with the new judges it’s either a yes or a no and that’s good. i do not miss Simon or the uncomfortable tension between Simon and Ryan. Overall, so far great chemistry.”

:: Little Monster Josh oh-la-la’d on Watch Lady Gaga’s Mugler-Inpsired Remix Video: “Gaga herself remixed that track and cut off the chorus. That means we’ve seen nothing from Born This Way yet and this remix alone blows away anything in the charts right now.”

:: sasha94 threw her pom poms in the air for Britney Spears’ “Hold It Against Me” Expected To Become Her 4th #1: “LOVE LOVE LOVE GODNEY GODNEY GODNEY! LIVING LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TAKE A BOW!”

:: Cody also seemed to be in awe of Godney: “One thing about Britney fans is that they purchase her songs/albums. That means, less listening to radio and more on the CD. Now that’s power.”

:: DoubleR was twice as complimentary on Adam Lambert Works The Red Carpet At RuPaul’s Drag Race Season Premiere: “Considering I am totally hetero, just so we’re on the same fretboard here, Adam Lambert has it all. Looks… sex appeal … a voice … an attitude , both raw and sensitive … he HAS it. He is our closest hope to the fourth greatest entertainer in the just-pre-Baby Boomer generation since … I ain’t lyin’ … the Big 3 of All Time … Sinatra… Elvis… and … Michael. He has THAT potential. … He is soaking up life , realizing he can do whatever he wants whenever he wants and still make the millions.”

:: Jesse liked what he heard on Hear The Final Version Of Jennifer Lopez And Pitbull’s “On The Floor”: “I love it. I don’t know why people got to hate on her so much. After all, she has been singing for 10 years and honestly people need to just get over it and enjoy what she has to offer because there are some singers who aren’t as good as her. She’s knows what her fans want.”

:: Brock bowed down before T.I. Is Alone On The Throne On His “Castle Walls” Single Cover: “T.I. and Christina bring back authenic lyrics and content to radios @ a mainstream level thank god. This song is bound to SMASH hard. Hopefully they push it world wide. Song of The Year!!!! I REALLY LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!”

:: COMMENT OF THE WEEK — This week’s zinger came from Brandon Hall, who made a keen observation on Justin Bieber Looking Glum At The Golden Globes: “Being around all the real talent must have really put things into perspective.”
