Lissie Goes It “Alone” on ‘Late Night’

Did we call it or did we call it?  One year after NBC newscaster Brian Williams gave her a shout out on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Idolator Popping Up Artist Lissie appeared herself on the show for the stateside late night debut of “When I’m Alone.”  And guess what?  The “Bad Romance” cover artist more than proved that Williams knows a good thing when he hears it (and, ahem – so do we).  Head below to hear Lissie work her magic.

Already a pretty big deal overseas, the Q Award nominee graced audiences with her raw vocals and equally stripped-down style, putting our focus as always on her music rather than her appearance – though that hardly means she isn’t a perfectly watchable live performer.  The folk artist is nothing if not energetic, clearly giving it her all to make a big impression on a U.S. audience that is more likely than not hearing her music for the first time.

“When I’m Alone” was already iTunes UK’s Editor’s Choice for 2010‘s Song of the Year, so hopefully we can expect similarly lofty things as this talented artist gets more exposure on this side of the pond, too.

Lissie’s full-length album Catching a Tiger is available now.
