Folks, please forgive us at this point for occasionally lapsing and thinking Britney Spears’ “Hold It Against Me” video premiered sometime back when a cat named Socks was still chewing grass on the White House lawn. It’s just that with all the teases—and the general frenzy revolving around Lady Gaga’s swift media blitz with “Born This Way”—we’ve kind of grown droopy-faced waiting for the actual clip to arrive. That said, we’re almost there—tomorrow (February 17) is the day the full Jonas Åkerlund-directed vid is set to appear. So while we’re twiddling our thumbs until then, why don’t we check out the extended 30-second glimpse at the video that MTV has posted, plus Spears’ last four teasers, below? Here in the extended preview of the “Hold It Against Me” vid, we see very colorful flashes of our dancing pop damsel as she struts, spins and OWNS the dance floor. We feel like we haven’t seen Britney this active in a music video since “Womanizer”—or maybe even since “Toxic.” Now we’re properly chomping at the bit for this thing to arrive tomorrow.

One of the most tantalizing “HIAM” teaser videos was #10, where basically…well, alright—we don’t know what the hell’s going on here. But it sure looks painful.

Here’s “HIAM” teaser #11, also known as Britney & Co. Do “The Time Warp.”

“HIAM” teaser #12 gives us the shocking revelation that, yes, ladies and gentleman, even cameras can wear weaves.

In “HIAM” teaser #13, the latest, our chirpy songbird appears to be scantily clad with a bullet belt holding up her knickers while various gentleman sporting snazzy hair bump, grind and twirl around her. What will they be holding against her, one wonders?

Insightful!
