IBM’s Watson Will Be The Next American Idol
IBM super computer Watson easily triumphed on Jeopardy, so it only makes sense that he would take on other televised competitions. Why not American Idol next? In the below clip, watch Watson impress Randy, Jennifer and Steven with a unique take Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Watson surely must be the only entity that uses more Auto-Tune than Ke$ha.
But why shouldn’t a computer become our next American Idol? He’s certainly got more personality than Lee DeWyze. And an actual hologram is selling out concerts in Japan! To paraphrase Watson’s Jeopardy competitor Ken Jennings (and The Simpsons), I, for one, welcome our new computer pop music overlords.
