Chris Brown Issues Apology For His ‘GMA’ Outburst

Yesterday, Chris Brown apologized on 106 & Park for getting “very emotional” following his Tuesday Good Morning America interview (and not “emotional” in the sobbing over Michael Jackson sense, more in the throwing-a-water-cooler-and-smashing-a-window-in-your-dressing-room, sense). Below hear the F.A.M.E singer’s apology and how the chart topper is taking stock and moving forward following his March 22 meltdown, as Breezy’s Twitter profile says, “everyday is a new beginning.” Clearly, that post-tantrum pickup basketball game was just the thing the pop star needed to blow off steam and gain clarity regarding the incident.

This is what Chris had to say about the incident:

“First and foremost, I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, anybody who was offended or really looked disappointed in my actions because I was disappointed in the way I acted…When I do interviews, we always send out a talking points sheet. And if the network isn’t compliant with what we want to do, we…back out and wait until it’s a better situation…The talking points were positivity and everything that was sent to me was about the album. As the interview proceeded, I was thrown off by it. I felt like they told us this just so they can get us on the show to exploit me…And so I took it very, very hard.” [You know, like destroying a dressing room hard.]

However, in a statement issued by ABC News, “There were no talking points offered.” Hmm.

The pop star ended his apology by saying, “So yes I got very emotional and I apologize for acting like that…if you love me, if you love the whole movement we’re doing, please know that everybody is beautiful, you’re beautiful, Robin Roberts.”

Flattery will get you everywhere, Chris, but there’s no need to butter up the ABC anchor, since GMA had already invited you back to “clear the air”.
