UPDATED: Britney Spears Announces Tour, Enrique Iglesias Reportedly Bails

Britney Spears, whose Femme Fatale is out today, gave Good Morning America an exclusive today by announcing her North American tour with “Tonight (I’m Lovin’ You)” crooner Enrique Iglesias. The trek kicks off at Sacramento, California’s Power Balance Pavilion on June 17 and wraps up on August 13 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. So far ticket sale dates have not been announced. UPDATE: Billoard.biz is now reporting that Iglesias has pulled out of the co-headlining gig, mere hours after the GMA announcement aired, though no reason has been given and promoter Live Nation has declined to comment. Catch Britney’s scheduled dates below.

Billboard.biz alludes to the fact that a co-headlining tour for the two pop stars would have been a high-cost endeavor. There is no mention of the tour or Enrique’s cancellation on either his official site or Twitter.

i get the idea Enrique is on fire right now but since when Brit needs a co-headliner to have a tour, a suspiciously small one?

I get that Brit probably doesn’t feel like a solo tour, and Enrique is also a Dr. Luke product, but Tonight (I’m NOT Lovin’ This)

Well, hope no one was married to the idea of these two sharing a stage together!

Its just weird. I wouldnt go to a concert to see Britney if i knew that Enrique would be singing too. And the same thing reverse.

When I think of Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias always comes to mind (not). What an oddball pairing for a Tour! Why not a smaller pop artist that could use some lime-light?

He must have watched her weak performance on the show. Why is she famous? Can’t sing, half-a$$ed attempt at dancing. She’s just going through the motions till people decide they aren’t going to spend their money on her anymore.
