This past week saw the release of Britney Spears’ seventh studio album Femme Fatale, while the pop star performed for Good Morning America and announced her summer tour (which Enrique Iglesias promptly bailed on). We also witnessed Katy Perry’s spacey “E.T.” video touching down on Earth, saw Adam Lambert acting lovey-dovey with his boyfriend in public and heard the new NKOTBSB single “Don’t Turn Out The Lights.” Head below to see how our readers dealt with this barrage of pop!

:: Catherine Holloway was less than impressed with Britney Spears Brings Femme Fatale To San Francisco: “…all of her dance moves were either haireography or half-hearted humping of air off beat. If I were the air and being humped by Britney I would totally be turned off.”

:: Likewise, Caleb Gore wasn’t exactly wowed on Watch Britney Spears On Good Morning America: “The main thing is that she just isn’t into it anymore. She used to OWN that stage. It was her show and she had the attitude to back it up. Now, she just looks out of place, like a scared little kitten.”

:: Leah couldn’t find any fault with Enrique on Britney Spears Announces Tour, Enrique Iglesias Reportedly Bails: “He must have watched her weak performance on the show. Why is she famous? Can’t sing, half-a$$ed attempt at dancing. She’s just going through the motions till people decide they aren’t going to spend their money on her anymore.”

:: Jesse came to the pop icon’s defense, however, on Watch MTV’s Britney Spears: I Am The Femme Fatale Trailer: “I think people should just leave her alone. She is feeling more comfortable about who she is right now. She can’t dance very well, so what. I would like all the people to try and trade in their shoes for hers. See how they like it when they admit they can’t do what she can.”

:: CMgrov saw double the pleasure on Adam Lambert Helps Celebrate His Boyfriend’s B-Day: “Hot. I would do either of them. Or both of them together.”

:: Meanwhile, Brandon Hall was sensing The Glam One elsewhere, on American Idol: Elton John Night’s Alright For James Durbin: “James is reminding me alot of Adamn Lambert lately and while that is a compliment he has got to find his own distinction cause its already not sitting well with me.”

:: GiGi was OMG for BSB on New Kids & Backstreet Boys Beg “Don’t Turn Out The Lights” On Joint Single: “I can tell for sure when BSB is singing since I have spent thousands of hours listening to every song they have ever done. I don’t know NKOTB as well but I think I can tell when Jordan,Donny, and Joey are signing. I suppose a die hard NKOTB fan would be able to pick out Jonathan and Danny as well. Either way awesome song they all sound great together can’t wait to hear it live.”

:: Nikita blasted off on Review Revue: Critics To Katy Perry & Kanye West’s “E.T.” Video: “We get it… Gaga fans aren’t happy that someone they had comfortably pigeon-holed as fluffy and ditzy has successfully revealed an edgy, beautifully made movie-style video. After all, strange and unsettling is Gaga’s modus operandi. But come on… nothing is invented anymore. Everything is re-invented – Gaga herself has been likened to Madonna on more occasions than fans would care to count!”

:: Gia was a bit more direct(or): “Honestly, critics who say Katy Perry’s new video is copying Gaga are disrespectful of director Floria Sigismondi’s entire body of work. I don’t expect large audiences to know Floria Sigismondi’s previous work very well, but critics should know better. This woman has been directing videos since the 90’s and she’s done the whole unusual, weird, out of this world look way before Gaga, directing videos for David Bowie, Bjork, Marylin Manson, Christina Aguilera, Fiona Apple etc.”

:: Connie lost her cookies on David Cook Announces New Single “The Last Goodbye”: “At long last, new music from David Cook. I, too, will buy ANYTHING this man sings. His voice just reaches out, grabs me and pulls me in. He is multi-talented and is an amazing live performer – one of the few who is probably better in person than recorded.”

:: COMMENT OF THE WEEK — We got served by Jesse I (or at least some site called Idolater did) on Jennifer Lopez And Lil Wayne Admit “I’m Into You” On New Song: “I like it but this is not the finished version.and screw you idolater for bashing j.lo all last year and before.don’t hate cuz ‘she’s got it, she’s got it, she’s got it,and your into her, your into her HEY’!”
