Nikki & Rich—aka vocal powerhouse Nikki Leonti and DJ/hip hop producer Rich Skillz—have been bubbling under for few minutes. But believe it or not, the pop-soul duo have yet to release an album. That’s finally all set to change this summer with the arrival of the pair’s debut Everything. Leading the charge is “City Lights”, a stirring single that’s earned strong reviews since it hit the Web last year. Now the track, featuring Brooklyn MC Fabolous, has slick visuals to match: we proudly present the exclusive premiere of the “City Lights” video below.

In the Matt Alonzo/Kai Henry-directed clip, Nikki sits alone in her bedroom and laments that skylines and city lights—in this case, those of Los Angeles—are wasting away in the wake of a love lost. She wanders the streets in search of signs of life, and later finds Rich playing piano on a hill overlooking L.A. and Fabolous offering up some hip hop wisdom.

“I’m just happy to be real in a world that’s mad fake / That can’t stop me, I got bad brakes,” the “Deuces” rapper spits.

By the end of the video, Nikki’s frown is finally turned upside down as she walks out of the pizza shop she’s been working at. Did she quit or just have a really good black olive and extra cheese slice? We may never know.

But what we do know is that “City Lights” appears on Nikki & Rich’s six-song EP Finally Free, which, like its title might suggest, is available for free download on the pair’s official site. Or you can grab it below.
