Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ Album Cover: Not A Joke

Evidently, she’s not kidding. Lady Gaga, who last night tweeted what seemed to be the album cover of her eagerly awaited Born This Way LP, followed up today with a new photo. Not only is she holding the physical album booklet (which indicates that it actually has been manufactured), but she backed it up with a new message: “So happy+free to finally share this w you, riding around with the booklet! Can’t believe its here!” Click for the latest look at Gaga’s now-Adam-Lambert-approved artwork — and feast your eyes on that “Judas”-themed manicure — after the jump.

As Stylecaster (and some of our own readers) pointed out, the Born This Way cover, shot by Nick Knight, seems to draw at last in part on that of Painkiller, the 1990 album by metal legends Judas Priest. But that doesn’t mean (as some commenters in the forums of Gaga’s official site have suggested) that it’s a gag. The latest evidence, which she evidently photographed while propping her black lace-up boots on someone’s dashboard, certainly seems to underscore that it’s real. Haven’t you heard? She likes to provoke discussion.
