Gwyneth Paltrow Vs. John Legend: Who Covered Adele Better?

Like the rest of the world, we here in the States are smitten with Adele. The UK singer’s million-selling sophomore LP 21 is currently #1 for a fourth non-consecutive week, so naturally tunes off the record are making quite an impact on pop culture at large. Case in point: tonight recurring guest star Gwyneth Paltrow returns to Glee, where she’ll belt out somber 21 ballad “Turning Tables.” Also taken with Rolling Stone‘s current cover girl Adele is John Legend, who sang her Top 10 hit “Rolling In The Deep” during a recent sound check. Hear both below!

Gwyneth will be back on Glee tonight as Mr. Schuester’s love interest Holly Holliday. Here she is singing the Adele and Ryan Tedder co-write “Turning Tables” from the episode.

Not to be outdone by Oscar-winning Gwyneth, Grammy winner John Legend appears to have taken a shine to “Rolling In The Deep,” which the soulful crooner belted out in this a capella recording, as well as with his backup singers and band during a sound check for Singapore’s 2011 Rock & Roots fest recently.

While we readily give Paltrow and Legend props for doing Adele justice with their respective covers, we’re curious about which of these entertainers you think tackled Adele’s jams with more gusto?
