Neon Hitch “Silly Girl”: Song Premiere

It’s no secret that we’re hooked on sassy songstress Neon Hitch, who tore up our SXSW Pray For Pop Party last month with her set of catchy electro-pop jams (watch here). So we’re delighted to hit you with the premiere of a brand new track from the crimson-haired singer-songwriter today, ahead of her appearance at this weekend’s Bamboozle Festival. Head below to hear Neon Hitch’s “Silly Girl”! For “Silly Girl,” the UK singer hooked up with Switch (who produced Beyonce’s “Run The World (Girls)”) to write the track. Neon Hitch’s frequent collaborator Benny Blanco handled production chores.

“I’d just got off tour and I went in the studio with Switch,” Neon Hitch tells us about the slow-bubbling dubstep groove. “We partied all night and happened to lay a few melodies. A month later Switch got in the studio with Benny Blanco and played the demo. Benny loved the scratch demo so much that we didn’t really change the song at all.”

Way to get us shuffling around the office on a Monday morning, Ms. Hitch!
