Christina Aguilera, one of four celeb coaches on The Voice (premiering tonight on NBC at 9 p.m.), hit up the Tonight Show last night. The recent Gay Walk Of Fame honoree chatted with Jay Leno about hanging with drag queens at West Hollywood watering hole The Abbey, her tough past year and her early life in Pittsburgh. She also noted that she’s currently working on a new album. Watch below. “Anyone will say going through a divorce is a hard time in your life,” Aguilera said to Leno. “The only difference with me is, being in the spotlight, it’s even more of a roller coaster.”

She also poked fun at herself over her recent flubs at the Super Bowl and Grammy Awards, while discussing the advice she gives her team on The Voice.

“We have a laugh, because, you know, I never make mistakes,” Christina joked. “I never forget lyrics. I never trip up on stage. I do nothing wrong.”

She quickly mentioned that shooting The Voice in L.A. is convenient because she’s currently in the process of recording her new album locally. Here’s hoping it’s a blend of some of the all-too-few tender moments on her last LP and the fun retro numbers on the Burlesque soundtrack.
