Christina & Co. should be popping the bubbly right about now in celebration — the premiere episode of NBC’s The Voice was watched by 11.8 million viewers, with a 5.1 rating in the oh-so coveted 18-49 demographic. That’s impressive enough to make it the top-rated series premiere on a major network since CBS’ Undercover Boss, which debuted after the 2010 Super Bowl. For comparison’s sake, back in 2002, American Idol debuted to 9.85 million viewers. So, keep that in mind, Voice doubters. [Via THR]
