“My mission was to kiss every single girl [under] this roof,” American Idol’s Casey Abrams joked to Entertainment Weekly when discussing his send-off performance of “I Put A Spell On You” after being voted off the show. “Randy came up to me and said it was the funniest thing he’s ever seen. I thought he was crying at first, but I think he had tears of laughter.”

Hear more from Casey reflecting on his time on the show — and find out his all-time favorite moment of Season 10.

“When I got voted off Top 11, I felt horrible,” he tells EW. “I felt like I’m not going to do anything with my life now.” Casey was able to stay on the show due to the all-powerful, extremely-coveted Judges’ Save. “I don’t think I could ever watch [that moment] again,” he said. “I’d just start bawling.”

“Now I just got his whole new boost of confidence. You could have cut me three weeks ago and I would have been happy.”

“I always wanted to make it to [Top 6],” he adds. “Dueting with Haley [Reinhart] was incredible, and I think that was the right time to go.”

Casey reveals that his favorite moment came all the way back from Hollywood Week, when he sang “Georgia On My Mind” while playing his upright bass.

So what’s next for the quirky musician? “Probably going to do some restaurant gigs,” laughs Casey. “I’m gonna work on bass… I want to do some kind of pop album, some kind of jazz album.”
