Nicki Minaj Shares Thoughts On Eminem And Britney Spears In ‘Out’

To the outside observer, it may appear that Nicki Minaj is on top of the world right now, but in a new interview with Out magazine, the expressive rapper claims she feels like an underdog (just like her new BFF Britney Spears). The “Super Bass” biker chick also opened up about her Ricki Lake shout-out in the “Till The World Ends” remix, Eminem’s use of a homophobic slur in “Roman’s Revenge,” and why she changed her mind about not initially wanting to appear with Flo Rida on David Guetta’s summery club jam “Where Dem Girls At.” Check it out below.

About Eminem’s controversial choice of language on “Roman’s,” the recent Dancing With The Stars guest said this:

“It’s Eminem — I felt like we were creating a movie. And in the same way, I feel like if you were to watch your favorite actor or actress say ‘faggot’ or say ‘nigger’ in a movie, you don’t hate them because it’s like they’re playing a role. ‘Roman’s Revenge’ was more like a theatrical piece. I was a character and [Eminem] was a character. This was Slim Shady and Roman.”

And regarding her summer tourmate:

“I think that it just goes to show that when you are a strong woman, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. You bounce back from whatever. And I think she’s probably gone through 10 times whatever I’ve gone through. But the fact that she came back out with just so much fire inspires me, and it inspires young women and people all over the world.”
