Justin Timberlake References Himself (And Justin Bieber) In Unaired ‘SNL’ Skit

Justin Timberlake’s fourth hosting stint (and countless appearance on) Saturday Night Live was pretty much universally enjoyed — hey, Andy Samberg and Lady Gaga seem to have no complaints with the pop star’s performance — but there’s still more comedy you didn’t get to see. In a cut sketch taped during the dress rehearsal, Justin plays renown composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart… okay, he’s really just playing a thinly-veiled version of himself, as he and the cast make jokes about his personal transition from musician to actor (to glasses-wearing hipster). Watch below and tell us if it should have made the show.

“Mozart”

The complaint at the Golden Globes for not nominating him for his work in The Social Network is pretty hilarious, as is his dig at another famous pop star named Justin: “Bieber? C’mon, you can’t be serious! Why not just put a wig on chipmunk and train it to act like a black man?!”

You may remember that Timberlake did a similar shtick in a sketch on SNL two seasons ago, angering Britney fans when he made reference to personal details about their relationship:

So, did Lorne Michaels cut the “Mozart” sketch so that he’d be saved from angry Beliebers knocking down the walls of 30 Rock looking to shed some blood? Or was the sketch just the same joke wrapped in a new costume?
