Today is Lauryn Hill’s 36th birthday, which is as good a time as ever to announce that the singer-songwriter will not only be returning to multi-city fest Rock The Bells as a headlining act, she’ll be performing her Grammy-winning album The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill in its entirety.

After a 12 year absence from the spotlight, Lauryn Hill slowly began making public appearances again, from last year’s Rock The Bells tour to Sundance to Coachella.

“I think I’m ready to express myself again,” she told FUSE last year. “You have to life life so you have something substantial to share, or it’s pointless and vain.”

Other acts on the 2011 bill include Erykah Badu and Cypress Hill, as well as Mobb Deep and Nas, who recently revealed their plans to record a joint album.

Head to the Rock The Bells website for the full lineup.
