Lil Mama’s Lip Gloss Pops Once Again In New Song “On & On & On”
There are plenty of songs out there about all sorts of silly little topics, but Lil Mama’s “Lip Gloss” still stands out as one of the catchiest ditties about pretty much the most trivial thing an artist could possibly sing about. Now the America’s Best Dance Crew judge who once committed a major Hip-Hop Fail by crashing Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ “Empire State Of Mind” performance at the VMAs has returned to the hip-hop scene with a new song, “On & On & On.” Hear it below, and watch a featurette that takes us behind the scenes with Lil Mama recording the track.
The 21-year-old rapper has aged a bit since her days of singing about lip gloss, but still manages to have fun, dropping in references to Kit Kat bars and an homage to the Notorious B.I.G.’s “Hypnotize.”
This track has a lot of the fun flavor that made “Lip Gloss” a big hit, and suggests that Lil Mama may not end up being a one-hit wonder after all if there’s more like this on the way.
