Haley Reinhart Sits Down With Regis And Kelly, Sings “House Of The Rising Sun”
Haley Reinhart’s performance of an original song was scrapped at the last minute during last week’s American Idol finale (thanks a lot, Bono) but at least the smoky singer had another day in the sun this morning by appearing on Live! With Regis And Kelly. Her appearance followed up those of Idol winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina this week. And, no, Haley didn’t get to dazzle Rege with any original music. She opted for “House Of The Rising Sun” instead. During her interview with the two hosts, Haley discussed how Steven Tyler was the Idol judge who had her back throughout the season. “I love the guy,” she said. “He rooted me throughout the whole thing… He’s a good guy and we really got to see the soft, genuine side of him.”
Of course, Haley shouldn’t feel too special — Steven seemed to have praise for just about anyone who crossed the AI stage!
