Far East Movement’s “So What?” Video Reminds Us Of Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass”

Large-breasted girls in bikinis are nothing new in a music video, but we still can’t help but wonder if Far East Movement was more than a little inspired by Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass” video when filming their own clip for their Beastie Boys-sampling “So What?”. Check out our side-by-side proof below and tell us if you think it’s a coincidence, or if Pepto Bismol baby oil is now becoming a thing.

Far East Movement — “So What?”

See any similarities? Let’s point them out, from I-guess-that’s-similar to you’ve-got-to-be-kidding-me.

First, both videos feature close-ups of stacks of money. Okay, maybe not a huge deal — who doesn’t like looking at money, and lots of it, arranged neatly in bundles?

Then we get both Nicki and FM performing in between two large basses — a little familiar, but since both songs mention the bass, it’d be weird not to include a couple, right?

Then we get hot chicks on motorcycles that don’t appear to be going anywhere. Hmm.

Last but not least, bright pink Pepto-looking liquid is poured over a pair of breasts in both videos. Is this like the dirty version of Nickelodeon slime?

Hey, at least none of the members of Far East Movement snatched Nicki’s wigs.
