Eminem and his Bad Meets Evil co-captain Royce Da 5’9″ brought out the fireworks for Em’s headlining set at Bonnaroo this weekend, but before they put their “Lighters” in the sky, the duo sat down with Fuse TV to discuss their former beef and what to expect on their EP Hell: The Sequel (hey, they could have just asked us). Marshall Mathers also made it perfectly clear that although he dared to bring up those pesky penis rumors again by referring to Lady Gaga as a “male lady” in his song “A Kiss”, he’s got nothing but respect for the singer. Interview below.
“I think Lady Gaga, as an artist you know, she’s undeniable, you know,” said Em. “That was one of them things where sometimes I get a joke in my head and I kinda want to share it with the world, you know what I’m saying. So it was just one of them things man, and it’s you know it’s all in fun, it’s hip hop.”
He continued: “It is what it is, but as far as an artist, she’s dope, she’s an incredible talent.” And Royce dittoed Em’s sentiment. Honestly, was anyone really that upset over Eminem’s not-terribly-clever diss? We’re pretty sure Gaga has some fairly tough skin at this point. (And if not, she can just fashion some out of leather.)
