Nicki Minaj is hopping from Britney to Blige, providing a verse on the Queen of Soul singer’s tune “Feel Inside”, from her forthcoming tenth studio album My Life 2: The Journey Continues. We’re honestly surprised it took this long for Nicki to climb on board a Mary track. Haven’t these two worked with practically everybody on a major label at this point? Listen to their collab, “Feel Inside”, below. UPDATE: Billboard reports that a source in Blige’s camp says the song is a leaked studio mashup of two completely different in-progress tracks the divas are working on separately, and not a “true” collaboration. Nicki Minaj – Feel Inside” dl=”0″] “We say all the wrong things, til we make each other cry / What are we doing, will it ever get better?” wonders Mary, while Nicki more or less just offers barely related one-line zingers: “Hit the dryer because you’re wash — splish splash.”

It’s unremarkable for a Mary tune, and nor does the song offer one of the more inspired verses from Nicki. Still, the combo of soul combined with Minaj’s hip-pop energy somehow makes it work.

As Hip-Hop Wired wonders, what does Lil Kim — who has been friends and collaborators with Blige for many years — think of this pair-up? We already know her thoughts on Minaj.
