Jennifer Hudson Gets A Surprise In Her “No One Gonna Love You” Video

We love watching Jennifer Hudson perform her stomping I Remember Me soul jam “No One Gonna Live You” live, so the music video, directed by Diane Martel, is like an added bonus. And J-Hud even participates in a bit of choreographed dancing! Watch her get sassy with her man on their anniversary below. At the beginning of the video, it seems as if Jennifer’s better half has completely forgotten their anniversary. “You’re gonna be on time tonight?” she asks, though he has no recollection of their special occasion.

Oh, J-Hud, this is where you should just ditch the chump. But she doesn’t. Instead she shows up at the restaurant they’re to have dinner at, only to find he hasn’t arrived yet.

But it’s good she didn’t dump him, because when she storms back home, ready to throw down, he surprises her with balloons and a ring. And diamonds are a girl’s…well, you know.

It’s always great to see the American Idol alum show off her dramatic chops, because it’s a firm reminder that, oh, right — she has a friggin’ Oscar at home on her mantle! But it’s the dancing that’s the real cherry on the cake in the “No One Gonna Love You” video.
