T.I. And B.o.B Blast The Competition Away With “We Don’t Get Down Like Y’all”

T.I.’s jail contingency plan isn’t quite as impressive as Lil Wayne’s, but we have to hand it to him — the rapper hasn’t been too silent since his return to prison last November. His LP No Mercy dropped just a few weeks after he started his 11-month sentence, and since then we’ve gotten singles (including Christina Aguilera woe-is-me number “Castle Walls”), magazine covers, blog messages, music videos, TV appearances, more music videos and more TV appearances. Now comes previously unreleased track “We Don’t Get Down Like Y’all”, featuring B.o.B on the hook. Listen to both initial-named rappers go at it down below.

The song was recorded sometime after T.I. was released from jail in December 2009, and before he headed right back in in November 2010.

“To show my appreciation to those that have been in support of me and granted the requests of TEAM T.I. I’ll be releasing a record in the near future (couple of weeks tops) to hold y’all over til I get back in action,” wrote Tip in a message on his blog earlier this month.

This tune will have to hold his followers over for the next three months — T.I. will be released from prison on September 29. Hopefully he learns from history and doesn’t wind back behind bars within less than a year.
