Season 1 winner of The Voice Javier Colon will be be reunited with his coach from the show soon, he told Matt Lauer on the Today Show, when asked if they’ll be working on music together. Levine, meanwhile,  is on quite a collaborative streak these days — his Maroon 5 duet with newly-re-signed Voice coach Christina Aguilera, “Moves Like Jagger,” debuted at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week. Head below to watch Javier discuss his plans on Today. “Absolutely, we already talked about it,” Colon said, commenting on working with Adam Levine in the future. “We’re going to do some things in the studio together… We also talked to Cee Lo. Cee Lo, as well, wants to do some things together. We’re going to do some fun things. Fun things are in the future.”

After sealing the deal on The Voice, Javier, who released two albums on Capitol in the previous decade, is now the recipient of a Universal Republic label deal, as well as a prize of $100,000. Yesterday his Rodney Jerkins-produced single “Stitch By Stitch” climbed to #1 on iTunes (it’s currently down to #3).

Do you think Javier has what it takes to become the next big voice in pop?
