Nicki Minaj Opens Up To E! In Upcoming One-Hour Special
First Missy Elliott and now Nicki Minaj — this must be the summer of amazing raptress television interviews. It was announced yesterday that the Harajuku Barbie will be the subject of E! one-hour special. The exclusive interview will air July 13 (or as we’ve named it, Pink Wednesday) at 10:00 PM on the entertainment network — so set your DVRs now. In addition to our Song Of Summer contender, the special will include interviews from Nicki’s mother, father, Lil Wayne, Swizz Beatz, her best childhood friends as well as her elementary school teacher. The episode covers Britney’s Femme Fatale tour mate‘s transformation from a young girl in Trinidad to chart-ruling Barbie.
In a press release circulating this week, Weezy was quoted from his interview as saying, “I was like, this female here is amazing. She’d be amazing for my label as well, and so that’s when I knew I wanted to sign her, as soon as I heard her, as soon as I saw her. Get me in contact with some girl named Nicki!” Smart decision, Mr. Carter.
