You could be mistaken for thinking it’s 1997 all over again with all three former Destiny’s Child members unveiling new projects this week. Beyonce debuted the lingerie-tastic wedding-themed video for “The Best Thing I Never Had”, while fellow Tina Knowles fashion victim Kelly Rowland previewed her long overdue third album “Here I Am”. Not to be outdone by her slightly more successful bandmates, Michelle Williams stepped out of the shadows to reveal her new hype single “Love Gun”. Jump below to see what our readers had to say about the latest from music’s favorite independent women, as well as their opinions about new music from Kelly Clarkson and our Song Of The Summer poll.

::Mel was overwhelmed by the wardrobe for Beyonce’s “Best Thing I Never Had” video: “She looks absolutely gorgeous!!! Beautiful classy and elegant lingerie as only she would wear it. Very nice simple video with stunning visuals of her and her silk & honey skin. Love King B.”

::Kidder compared the clip to the Queen of Pop circa 1983: “A lot have tried but no woman looks as hot in a wedding dress since Madonna in “Like a Virgin.” Nice Beyone you go girl!”

::Why was less impressed, saying: “It reminds me of the Paris sex tape where she is standing in the mirror in her underwear.”

::Simon expressed his disappointment that Miss Kelly has apparently turned her back on dance music on her new album in the wake of her urban crossover smash “Motivation”: “I wish she would have included all the dance-oriented songs that she had been recording within last year. It feels like she tries to cater more to the US market with these songs. Why not releasing a European version of “Here I Am” or at least adding a bonus dance CD?”

::Veronica wanted more from the former Destiny’s Child diva, commenting: “After all this time she comes out with the same formula that’s already on radio. Not impressed.”

::Willinalli, on the other hand, loved the preview: “I am pre-ordering this $h!+ on iTunes…Can’t wait.”

::Travis can’t get enough of Michelle Williams’ new dance sound, likening it to electro-pop royalty: “Love it! Reminds me a little or Robyn’s current sound and maybe a little of Stuart Price’s touches on Kylie’s “Aphrodite” album (the twinkling).”

::Jen was less impressed “What the heck is this? I at least give her credit for trying!!”

::HaleyBailey was one of the many readers who fell for Kelly Clarkson’s new track “Let Me Down”: “LOVE IT! It has smash written all over it. GO KELLY!!

::K.J. Pickering agreed but was disappointed it leaked so early: “Love the song! I just hate that her songs keep getting leaked! It takes away from the surprise when the album comes out, but regardless the song is great!”

::NinjaLilly thinks the inaugural American Idol winner outdoes current pop/rock queen Pink on the track: “Its great! I love Pink, but I don’t think she can hit some of the notes Kelly hits here, especially near the end. Anyway, can’t wait for it to be released.”

::Marcus was one of the readers who suspected foul play when Lady Gaga’s “The Edge Of Glory” took a commanding lead in our Song Of The Summer poll: “Hackers and auto clicks? I was expecting any of the other songs listed but not this one , everyone that i asked didnt liked this song and lets not even talk about the video.. I don’t get it , if it was at least winning , but it is winning by far.. so somethings wrong.”

::Egbaby believed the song was a deserving and legitimate winner: “To all the people claiming this is unfair…first of all yes to a certain degree it does have to do with the sheer amounts of fans GaGa & Britney have, but also The Edge of Glory really is an awesome song…this poll was done on my local hit radio station and Edge of Glory won by far, I personally think its a great song and has a summer feel…”Monters” are not the only ones who voted for Miss GaGa.”

::Flockart was less diplomatic: “Oh, and for all the losers saying “gaga hackers” = GET-A-LIFE.”
