Well, that’s a relief! “On The Floor” singer Jennifer Lopez is days away from confirming that yes, she will be returning to American Idol for Season 11, E! News reports. JLo will again join fellow judges Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, who both re-signed with the reality competition last month. “I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it,” Lopez has said of her experience on the show. So what the heck took her so long to come back?
Lopez previously said that she was “on the fence” about whether she would return to Idol because of the number of projects on her plate — including Que Viva, her very own singing competition for Latin American audiences, co-produced with hubby crooner Marc Anthony. That, or the singer/actress/mom/and entrepreneur was holding out for a big, fat raise. Sources say the pop star wanted an extra $8 million per season, bringing her total paycheck to $20 million.
We don’t know yet if Jenny from the block is going to cash in, but are you as excited as we are to see that (20)-million-dollar smile sipping from a Coke cup again? Tell us on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments below.
