Beyonce’s ‘4’ Drops In Sales, But Still Tops The Charts

Beyonce’s 4 dropped 63% in sales in its second week out, but let’s look on the bright side – that was still enough to keep the beautiful music video bride in the top position on Billboard‘s Top 200. Elsewhere on the charts, Selena Gomez and her Scene climb up a spot, Lloyd’s dedication to his ex lands him a Top 10 debut, and Adele isn’t going anywhere.

In the past week, Beyonce sold over 100k more units, bringing her total sales for two weeks at 422,000. We’d love to see Bey hold tight at #1 for at least two more weeks, just so she could add another lucky “4” reference to her list.

And apparently there are still people out there who do not yet own Adele’s 21, as the British soul sister was able to sell 80k more albums, bringing her year-to-date total being over 2.6 million.

R&B singer Lloyd made his Top 10 debut with King of Hearts, which means he can now afford to go buy himself some high-end soap to wash his mouth out with after performing his NSFW single “Dedication To My Ex (Miss That)”.

Debuting in the Top 50 for the first time ever are American Idol Season 10 faves Haley Reinhart and James Durbin, whose EPs charted at #35 and #38, respectively. Perhaps the entire Durbin-friendly town of Santa Cruz bought a copy of his album?
