We can, of course, expect a wave of Amy Winehouse tributes to start rolling in across the media in the weeks to come. UK rock mag NME gets the ball rolling for print publications by featuring a black and white image of the late 27-year-old singer, who is smiling and clad in a vintage tee adorned with female superheroes, on the cover of its forthcoming issue. Says the mag, “Following the sad news of her death, NME pays our respects to a true icon and the most talented singer in a generation over 10 pages of classic and unseen images, heartfelt tributes and enduring memories of a daring talent whose life ended far, far too soon.”
