Lauryn Hill Hits The LA Rising Festival One Week After Giving Birth

Jul 31st, 2011 // 4 Comments

Most women take a little time to relax and recuperate the week after giving birth. Lauryn Hill gives a concert at the LA Coliseum. After bringing six little ones into the world, the “That Thing” diva may be something of an expert at getting back on her feet — but we’re still blown away that just one week to the day after welcoming her latest bundle of joy, Lauryn was able to deliver a killer show at the LA Rising Festival on Saturday. (Showing skin and looking good, too!) Is Rohan Marley reconsidering leaving Lauryn Hill for a Brazilian model after seeing his ex emerge from the maternity ward looking so smokin’? Catch the hot mama doing “That Thing” below.

We’re still unsure who the father of Lauryn’s new baby is, but with a mother as fierce as this, who needs a daddy anyway?

I love Lauryn Hill, but you’ve got to be kidding me.

Yeah, she Looked great but that was NOT a killer performance. The sound balance was completely off, no one could even hear her voice and the entire band was out of sink. They payed lip service to a couple Fugees songs and even those were bad. I’m totally impressed that she felt ready to perform just after giving birth… but it seems like she actually wasn’t ready.

As fierce or as crazy. It’s as Wyclef said man. This woman needs serious therapy and a stylist.

The set was horrible. Everyone in the crows was having their ears blown out by the horrible mix. Lauryn appeared to be very anxious during the performance as it was full of technical problems. It was a huge fuster cluck and no one I talked to enjoyed the performance at all. I am not blaming it on Hill herself, but I expected much more out of a veteran of live performance. My ears are still ringing in pain.
