This week MTV VMA nominee Britney set a personal record on the Billboard Hot 100 with her third Femme Fatale single “I Wanna Go.” The song has leaped from #11 to #9 on the chart, marking the first time the currently-on-tour songbird has racked up three Top 10 hits from the same album in the US. Geez — given Brit’s bucketload of radio jams over the years, that’s kind of hard to believe, no? For the record, the three Femme Fatale singles of note are  “Hold It Against Me” (which topped the Hot 100 in January), “Till The World Ends” (#3) and, of course, our recent Song Of Summer list contender “I Wanna Go” (#9).

Here’s how all of Spears’ Top 10 singles played out on the chart:

…BABY ONE MORE TIME (1999) “…Baby One More Time” (#1) “(You Drive Me) Crazy” (#10)

OOPS!…I DID IT AGAIN (2000) “Oops!…I Did It Again” (#9)

BRITNEY (2001) The only singles to chart were “I’m A Slave 4 U’ (#27) and “Overprotected” (#86).

IN THE ZONE (2003) “Toxic” (#9)

BLACKOUT (2007) “Gimme More” (#3)

CIRCUS (2008) “Womanizer” (#1) “Circus” (#3)

THE SINGLES COLLECTION (2009) “3” (#1)

FEMME FATALE (2011) “Hold It Against Me” (#1) “Till The World Ends” (#3) “I Wanna Go” (#9)

She was also featured on the remix of Rihanna’s 2011 Loud single “S&M,” which topped the Hot 100 in the spring. Thus, Brit now has a total of 12 US Top 10 hits to her name.

For the record, Spears’ somewhat narrow misses, as far as the upper tier of the chart is concerned, have been “From The Bottom Of My Broken Heart” (#14), “Stronger” (#11) and “Everytime” (#15).

So what do you think, Britney fans — does Femme Fatale have enough juice left to garner a fourth Top 10 hit?
