Darren Hayes Battles Loneliness In His “Black Out The Sun” Video

Earlier this summer, Darren Hayes tried to bridge a communication gap with his significant other with the aptly-titled “Talk Talk Talk.” Unfortunately, its follow up, “Black Out The Sun,” seems to be the sad continuation of that story. The lush pop gem finds the Aussie crooner lamenting, “go turn all the fruit into bitter wine, it was only sweet when you were mine.” Head below to watch the dramatic video for the song. “Black Out The Sun” (available on October 2) is the second single off Darren’s upcoming fourth solo album Secret Codes And Battleships (out October 17). As with “Talk Talk Talk,” he co-wrote the song with Nicole Scherzinger’s “Don’t Hold Your Breath” producer Carl Falk.

Don’t feel too bad for Darren, though — he’s actually been married to his partner Richard Cullen for five years. And if the below Star Wars-themed tennis shoes Richard just bought don’t define wedded bliss, then we don’t know what does. (Of course, he picked them up for himself.)

“O.M.G These! My other half just bought these. #jealous #starwars,” Darren tweeted last night, along with the pic.
