Last week we rolled the crystal ball onto the table, called upon some cosmic ESP energy and predicted who would win in the Best Pop Video, Best Female Video, Best Male Video and Video Of The Year categories at the 2011 MTV VMAs. We also asked readers to weigh in with their picks. The good news: half of our readers’ choices ended up winning! The bad news: we won’t be getting called to set up a fortune teller booth at the boardwalk anytime soon. Head below to see how things panned out with our predictions. BEST POP VIDEO We picked: Katy Perry, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” Readers’ pick: Britney Spears, “Till The World Ends” Actual winner: Britney Spears, “Till The World Ends”

Never underestimate the power of a 13-year pop icon singing about an apocalyptic party!

BEST FEMALE VIDEO We picked: Adele, “Rolling In The Deep” Readers’ pick: Lady Gaga, “Born This Way” Actual winner: Lady Gaga, “Born This Way”

Oooh, our readers think they’re so smart — which, given that they’re 2 for 2 here, they are!

BEST MALE VIDEO We picked: Eminem, “Love The Way You Lie” Readers’ pick: Bruno Mars, “Grenade” Actual winner: Justin Bieber, “U Smile”

Bieb smiles, we cry — it’s our third miss in a row!

VIDEO OF THE YEAR We picked: Adele, “Rolling In The Deep” Readers’ pick: Adele, “Rolling In The Deep” Actual winner: Katy Perry, “Firework”

Adele’s vid won four awards, but not this one. It’s safe to say none of us at Idolator sill be be pursuing that dream career as a psychic anytime soon!
