The-Dream will drop his 11-track album 1977 tomorrow, but you can get a taste of the free album today with the sparse, melancholy tune “Wake Me When It’s Over”, where Terius Nash speaks of a relationship that’s reached its end. Wonder where the inspiration came from? Listen below.

“Life on the Internet/ I look like a devil/ But you wearing the red dress, holding the shovel,” he sings on the LP’s sorrowful opening track. “Everyone knew it was over… so wake me when it’s over.”

Cheer up, Dream. We hate to see you so down in the dumps.
