Kelly Clarkson is taking the matter of song leaks into her own hands these days, as the release of her upcoming fifth album draws closer. “Hey ya’ll – I heard that some versions of ‘What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)’ started showing up online,” she tweeted last night. “My new album Stronger is out in 3 weeks (Oct 24) and I want you to hear the real thing!” Lucky us! Listen below. As you might guess from the title, “What Doesn’t Kill You” is an empowerment song. It kicks off with a shimmering synth riff, then launches into an upbeat dance-pop number, complete with guitars and electronic drums.

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, stand a little taller, doesn’t mean I’m lonely when I’m alone,” KC sings on the chorus.

We totally love this jam. We also can’t help wondering why it wasn’t chosen as the lead single off Stronger over “Mr. Know It All.” No offense to the latter, of course. We just like our Kelly with a bit of kick.

Plus, one listen later, we’ve already got the chorus deeply embedded in our minds.
