We can only imagine how pumped up Foster The People were to be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. In just a few months, the band has gone from relative obscurity to being one of the hottest acts out there thanks to their infectious “Pumped Up Kicks” (in spite of the fact that the dark lyrics tell the tale of a murderous gunman). Naturally, the next stop for the “Helena Beat” trio was SNL, where they not only performed their summery jam but also played “Houdini” with none other than saxophonist/punchline Kenny G. Get pumped up below.

I LOVED their performance! They looked like they were having FUN! I love that. Some artists are bleh performers. They are NOT one of them!! Amazing. Through and through. When they come to my side of town you can bet I will be first in line! Exciting to see true artists/performers who don’t need all the flashy non sense. Just great music & true emotion.

  2. I LOVE Foster the People. it looked like they enjoyed themselves and I did as well. Although, I wish they played Broken Jaw or Call It What You Want. Something new insted. But still they entertained me and I really do think Torches is the BEST album of 2011.

I thought they were cool. The song Pumped Up Kicks won’t get out of my head. They seemed like legit musicians. The other song I forgot already.

I really enjoyed it. It’s very pop and sugary, but it’s a guilty pleasure.

They looked like they had a good time, but WHAT was with the keyboard/tambourine/Maraccas guy and his dancing? That was weird!
