Patrick Stump And 10 Other Artists Who Went Solo

Patrick Stump’s debut solo album Soul Punk drops today, and its fusion of pop, R&B, soul, and dance is a far cry from anything he released during his ten years in Fall Out Boy. It will be interesting to see how FOB followers react to the singer’s new experimental sound, but going solo is never without its risks. Stump isn’t the first artist to either permanently or temporarily step away from the group that made them famous in order to pursue their own project. Check out our retrospective of 10 other music acts courageous enough to brave it alone.

Justin understands the care that my brother and I give to our dad on weekends . One weekend we had to go away on business and was unable to care for our dad.
