Over the past seven days, both Rihanna’s “We Found Love” and Britney Spears’ “Criminal” videos arrived amid a storm of controversy, bullets, sex and drugs. Our readers had plenty to say about that — most of it positive — and they also weighed in on Adam Lambert’s striking Advocate cover and accompanying interview. Head below to catch a roundup of the comments.

:: John realized he wasn’t just seeing things on Rihanna Gets High And Really Low In “We Found Love” Video: “Okay…it wasn’t just me that thought that dude looked like Chris Brown.”

:: aselfu was won over: “i am not a rihanna fan but this was a good music vid”

:: Paul Snyder wore his heart on his sleeve on Rihanna’s “We Found Love” Video: Review Revue: “I think it’s a beautiful video and actually adds a whole lot of depth and dimension to a song that many originally casted as ‘basic’ or ‘repetitive’.”

:: Brandon Hall felt the Femme Fatale has come a long way on Britney Spears’ “Criminal” Video: Sex! Violence! Bad Tattoos!: “I must say, I am genuinely impressed with this. This worked on so many levels, and she looked really good. Its easily the best video shes done this year, and craps all over everything she did for the Circus era. Bravo Britney, bravo. Didn’t think you still had it in you.”

:: lindsay was also singing Brit’s praises: “everything that britney puts out is amazing. she is such an icon. the madonna of this generation.”

:: Meanwhile, Sacha pledged allegiance to the singer on Britney Spears’ “Criminal” Video: Review Revue: “She’s a legend for a reason. Great song too. Always ahead of the curve. People love to hate her but she’s an AMERICAN original and we’re gonna be addicted to her for years to come.”

:: But that just made kiki see red: “sacha? shut up, communist.”

:: Elsewhere, GlamFan1 set the Glam One in their sights on Adam Lambert Has The Advocate Covered: “Hell yes, my eyes roll…..back into me head in sheer enjoyment & unbridled lust.”

:: Frances seconded that emotion: “My eyes definitely do not roll, but my stomach ends up in knots and my legs feel weak at the sound of Adam Lambert’s name. He is regal, humble, intelligent, kind, and extremely, extremely talented. Oh yeah, did I mention handsome?”

:: Rosalina is clearly out, loud and proud about her love for the singer: “I have posters of Adam hanging up at my work and customers see them and ask who likes him. Im quick to reply that its me. The first thing they say is ‘do you know that he is gay’ My reply is ‘NO, REALLY!’ The look on their faces are price less. Then I go on to say that Adam is an amazing singer and that is what I fell in love with. It also helps that he is very sexy and charming.”
