Eurovision vet Eric Saade, who represented his home country of Sweden in this year’s contest, has unleashed new single “Hotter Than Fire”, a blazing dance-pop jam that features “In The Dark” songstress Dev on the chorus. “When Dev wanted to sing on the song it became the icing on the cake,” 21-year-old Saade says in a press release for the tune. “Her ‘rap song’ style was so perfect for the song. She made it sexy.” Hear it below. Truth be told, “Hotter Than Fire” doesn’t sound unlike Usher’s 2010 hit “DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love”. That said, it maintains enough charm on its own to avoid being a total knockoff — just barely.

On the lyrics front, Saade sings about seeing a fine-looking lady at the club before Dev jumps in with “I said I’m flammable, I’m TNT, light it up”. Not exactly a novel concept, but everything comes together for an overall pleasant three minutes.

“Hotter Than Fire” is the lead single from Saade’s upcoming album Saade Vol. 2.
