Paul McDonald From ‘Idol’ Records Duet With Wife, ‘Twilight’ Actress Nikki Reed

While his American Idol Season 10 peers drop #1 albums and sign record deals, Paul McDonald – the soft-voiced contestant who never met a nudie suit he didn’t like – has been more or less quiet over the last few months, save for wooing, dating, proposing to and marrying Twilight’s Nikki Reed. In an attempt to play catch-up, the 27-year-old is now releasing a duet, and he’s teamed up with none other than his wife! That should at least guarantee every Twilight fan buying a copy. “Paul basically lives with a guitar strapped around his body, and he just walks around the house and plays stuff,” said Reed, who also wrote the song’s lyrics. “I’ve experimented with writing lyrics for other people in the past.”

“He recorded the music, and on the way back from Europe, a week and a half ago, I just sat and wrote lyrics to his music. Then we went in this Saturday, and recorded it with Andre Harris.”
