Scholarly pop goddess Kylie Minogue has been revisiting her lengthy collection of hits lately — not just during her live performances, it turns out, but also for an upcoming album. Music Week reports that the “Get Outta My Way” songstress has been working for several week’s at London’s Abbey Road studios on a 2012 release. “I’ve been at Abbey Road for about two weeks in total,” she revealed during the New Music Sessions event last week. “Next year’s my 25th anniversary so we’ve been recording acoustic and orchestral versions of a number of my hits.” Minogue has been no stranger to offering up jazzy takes on her past single, such as “I Should Be So Lucky” and “Better The Devil You Know”, during her live concerts. And we can certainly picture several of her songs being reinterpreted by the versatile singer.

To get you in the mood, below is the rearranged live version of Kylie’s 2000 Light Years single “On A Night Like This”, which she performed at the New Music Sessions at Abbey Road last week. Love those strings!
