You all remember Dia Frampton, right — the runner-up (behind Javier Colon) on The Voice, who was coached by Blake Shelton? The 24-year-old singer, who initially wowed with her reinterpretations of Kanye West’s “Heartless” and R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion” on the singing competition will release her debut solo album (she was previously in a duo with sister Meg Frampton) Red next month. Ahead of that, Dia’s hoping the video for new single “The Broken Ones” will entice you to check the LP out. Watch it below. “The Broken Ones”, available on iTunes as of this week, is a pop-rock power ballad that finds Frampton wanting to protect all the disenfranchised people of the world. Awww — thanks, Dia!

Her video plays out like the polar opposite of Selena Gomez’s “Hit The Lights” visual, which premiered yesterday — instead of a large group of friends running through fields and having the time of their lives, Dia comforts fallen pals on the ground before war breaks out between what looks like two tribes of hipsters.

But, worry not — their hair still looks fab, despite their wounds!

Dia Frampton — “The Broken Ones”

Of course, if you’re on the fence about Frampton’s new single, don’t take it from us — hear out Blake Shelton, who tweeted the following this morning: “If you haven’t downloaded Dia Frampton’s ‘The Broken Ones’ there’s a real good chance you’re not getting laid this weekend…”
