Florence + The Machine Return To ‘SNL’

Nov 20th, 2011 // 1 Comment

Florence + The Machine returned to the Saturday Night Light live stage with dramatic flair, knocking out the triumphant “Shake It Out” with a robed choir backing her own exquisite vocals, and the tension-filled “No Light, No Light” under eerie purple and yellow lights. The surprise of the evening, however, might have been in seeing the typically macabre Florence bumping and grinding in a goofy faux commercial for an album of Thanksgiving-themed “rap fusion”. Watch below.

Florence also took the opportunity to play off the evening’s humorous setting, joining in a hilarious fake commercial for A New Jack Thanksgiving, a must-have collection of “turkey-themed rap fusion songs”. ‘Tis the season, of course. Watch Florence as Flow Doubt below.

How’d this stack up against Florence’s last SNL performance? Let us know on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments.
