Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey take on the roles of holiday retail elves in the breathlessly awaited video for their “All I Want For Christmas Is You” duet, singing the yuletide pop classic before handing out gifts to lucky fans in a shopping mall bedecked with Christmas cheer. It rolled out in holiday style too: the search-engine beloved teen heartthrob introduced it live on NBC’s Christmas In Rockefeller Center special. Watch the Sanaa Hamri-directed clip below and see if the “festive collabo” is naughty or nice.

The clip begins with a shot of Santa Claus (on 34th Street, no less) ringing a bell on a wintry street as shoppers walk past. Inside, Mariah leans against a wall in a riveting Santa-inspired outfit that will surely melt a few hearts. Bieber enters with a few friends who push shopping carts into the mall to select presents (presumably for the fans outside, though you have to wonder if those kicks the Bieb grabs off the shelf are for his own sneaker collection). Meanwhile, jolly old St. Nick hands out tickets to gleeful fans outside — maybe they don’t do wristbands up in the North Pole? — and they’re eventually allowed in to receive their Christmas booty from Justin and Mariah.

The Bieber-enhanced version of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is on his new Under The Mistletoe album. Is the video all you want it to be? Let us know on Facebook, Twitter or in the comments.
