Paramore Offer Up “In The Mourning” As Final Singles Club Tune

Eleven months ago, Hayley Williams gave Paramore fans a sneak a cappella preview of the chorus for “In The Mourning”. She initially said, “I didn’t want to post the full thing yet because I don’t want people thinking it’s a new Paramore song. This is just something I wrote for fun. Hope you likes!” Well, turns out the track did end up being recorded by the band, as their final Singles Club offering. Give the song a listen below!

“In the morning I’ll rise, in the morning I’ll let you die / in the morning on my side,” Williams sings on the sweet, countrified tune.

Actually, those opening chords have us half-expecting to hear Stevie Nicks’ husky voice coming in at some point, given the slight resemblance to her and Lindsey Buckingham’s classic “Landslide”.

What do you think of Paramore’s final new song of 2011? Are you liking the direction the band has taken since the joint departure of Josh and Zac Farro last December?
