Adele Will Not Tolerate North American Beer

Though most pop star tour riders include ridiculous demands or serious instructions — after reading Katy Perry’s, we definitely won’t be staring at her through a rear-view mirror anytime soon — but Adele is no ordinary pop star. As uncovered by The Smoking Gun, the Brit singer’s tour rider is relatively drama-free: she shows a love of charity (all concertgoers who receive free tickets must donate $20 to charity), but does hold a distaste for North American beer, as Adele will only drink the “very best quality red wine” and “bottles of the best quality European lager beer… North American beer is NOT acceptable.”

Other things on the Grammy nominee‘s no-no list: sandwiches that contain “tomatoes, vinegar, chilli or citrus fruit”. They emphasize the latter just so they’re perfectly clear: “NO CITRUS FRUIT!”

She also stipulates that she must be provided one pack of Marlboro Light cigarettes, which may or may not have had something to do with her recent voice troubles.

Basically, don’t you dare bring a grapefruit or a Bud Lite anywhere near Adele when she’s on tour. But our #1 favorite detail about Adele as discovered through her tour rider? Her tour manager’s name is Zop! Amazing.
