Dev & Enrique Iglesias Strip Down For New Single “Naked”

Dev’s frequently-delayed debut LP The Night The Sun Came Up has yet to see the light of day in the States, but on these shores she’s following up her breakout hit single “In The Dark” with the Enrique Iglesias collaboration “Naked”. The Cataracs-produced number was made available on iTunes today. But to be quite honest, given how much these two push sexiness with their images, we’re surprised at just how limp “Naked” is. Listen below.

“Tell me, baby, will you be here when I wake up, even with no makeup, I don’t wanna fake it / and you don’t gotta doubt a second if I miss you, every time I’m with you, I see you naked,” Dev and Enrique sing on “Naked”, the chorus for which is surprisingly low-key and devoid of much in the way of fireworks.

Most worrisome is Iglesias’ increasing use of Auto Tune these days. He doesn’t really need it, does he?

What are your thoughts on Dev and Enrique’s pair-up on “Naked”? Is it getting you hot and bothered, or, like us, are you just not in the mood?

Yes, Enrique DOES need autotune. He’s not a completely awful singer, but he’s certainly not a good one. When I saw him in Melbourne he frequently let the audience sing most of his songs and when he did sing he was a bit out of tune and ‘screechy’. The song Naked doesn’t change my opinion on him at all. A disappointing artist.
