Top Songs Of 2011: We Review Each #1 Single…In One Word

Robbie Daw | December 25, 2011 6:06 am

Throughout 2011, a total of 14 singles topped Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. Grammy-nominated UK songbird Adele was the artist who spent the most weeks at #1 this year, with her first two 21 singles. Rihanna had the song that was perched in the chart throne the longest. Katy Perry had the most #1s, while Christina Aguilera returned to the top after a 10-year absence. Also, Wiz Khalifa, Pitbull, LMFAO and Calvin Harris all took trips to the peak position on the Hot 100 for the first time.

Naturally, in retrospect, Idolator’s Erika Brooks Adickman, Becky Bain and Robbie Daw had plenty to say about each of these singles. But rather than ramble on, they decided to pare down their thoughts to one(-ish) word. Head below to catch the Idolator editors’ very brief reviews of this year’s #1s!
