News that Kelly Clarkson will be joining The Voice was not the only juicy tidbit to come out of the Television Critics Association panel yesterday. Judge Christina Aguilera made it clear that she’s taking the lyrics of upcoming single “Love Your Body” to heart by addressing the hoopla surrounding her noticeable weight gain over the past year or so. So listen up! To all those detractors, the Bionic diva has a message for you: “I am beautiful in every single way, and words can’t bring me down.” Okay, that isn’t actually what she said — those are just lyrics from “Beautiful” — but the sentiment is the same! Read what she said below.

“I’ve been in this for a long time. I came out on the scene when I was 17 years old. You can never be too much of anything. You can never be too prefect, too thin, too curvy, too voluptuous, this, that. I’ve been on all sides of the spectrum.. [Every] female in this business at one time or another has had criticism… I’m very confident in my body. I think my video works over the years have spoken to that… I’ve been no stranger to being very comfortable in my own skin,” said the songbird behind one of our most anticipated albums of 2012.

She continued: “As long as I’m happy in my own skin, that’s all I need, that’s all the confirmation I need. I’m happy where I am, I have a boyfriend that loves my body, I love my body, my son is healthy and happy. That’s all that matters.”
