Christina Aguilera Addresses Her Weight Gain: “I Love My Body”

Jan 7th, 2012 // 9 Comments

News that Kelly Clarkson will be joining The Voice was not the only juicy tidbit to come out of the Television Critics Association panel yesterday. Judge Christina Aguilera made it clear that she’s taking the lyrics of upcoming single “Love Your Body” to heart by addressing the hoopla surrounding her noticeable weight gain over the past year or so. So listen up! To all those detractors, the Bionic diva has a message for you: “I am beautiful in every single way, and words can’t bring me down.” Okay, that isn’t actually what she said — those are just lyrics from “Beautiful” — but the sentiment is the same! Read what she said below.

“I’ve been in this for a long time. I came out on the scene when I was 17 years old. You can never be too much of anything. You can never be too prefect, too thin, too curvy, too voluptuous, this, that. I’ve been on all sides of the spectrum.. [Every] female in this business at one time or another has had criticism… I’m very confident in my body. I think my video works over the years have spoken to that… I’ve been no stranger to being very comfortable in my own skin,” said the songbird behind one of our most anticipated albums of 2012.

She continued: “As long as I’m happy in my own skin, that’s all I need, that’s all the confirmation I need. I’m happy where I am, I have a boyfriend that loves my body, I love my body, my son is healthy and happy. That’s all that matters.”

she’s right! many times we, the public, and even the press complain about artist just selling sex but we are the first who ask for it, cause immediately when an artist gains weight we start calling them fat and this and that, i mean they are not models, they do not sell their image, they sell their music their visuals, of course they use their image to do so, but it does not have to be the image of a skinny girl, it’s the same with britney both have in the game for more than 10 years now, their bodies change it is natural plus they already have babies and it is good that she is following the advice of her own song, let’s love us like we are

Wow… amazing how the tables are turned on her. She was once talking c r a p about Kelly Osborne’s weight…. now she’s just as big as she was and wants to try and is now facing the same kind of scrutiny that she once delivered.

Face it, Christina is a porker and she’s only going to pack on more lard as she ages. A lot of latinas are very attractive in their teens but then balloon up into porkers as they age. Too bad, she used to be hot. Mark Montgomery NYC, NY boboberg@nyc.rr.com

Nah, not true! Look at Sofia Vergada, J Lo and Shakira! Its all about diet and exercise. Christina was stick thin & probably doesn’t want to be that again. She actually looks better, she just needs to DRESS better and not like she was at a size 4.
